For psychic types that could double as "cosmic" and for ghost types that don't really bare any genuine resemblance to ghosts ala Giratina.

I think it's a good idea because if a new type were to be introduced it would have to be another divergence, like Fairy was for Normal and Psychic.

The three you listed are the best options.

You can make a lot of "half-types" that are similar to a combination of types or are fairly close like how rock/ground types work.

Abnormal type could exist for artificial and otherworldly Pokemon and be like normal/psychic with some different weaknesses.

Tech type could be similar to steel/electric but good against fairy and weak to water.

Jungle type could be like grass but weak to steel/new type and resistant to flying and poison.

Tall type. Anything over 5'6" (the average adult male) gets tall type.

This type is to Ghost what Steel type is to Rock.

Tends to favor defense. Has attacks that increase in damage the faster the Pokemon is. Has a gimmick 40BP move that deals triple damage every fifth turn.
Weak to Grass, Water, and Electric.
Resists Normal, Psychic, Ghost, Fighting, and Dark.
Immune to Steel, Ground.

Super Effective vs Steel, Psychic, Electric.

Porygon would be Normal/Wave, for example. Confusion would be a common status effect associated with Wave type.
