these aren't even fun gimmick sets though, the one you just described is basically sacrificing an entire turn for both of your pokemon in order to do a 150 bp attack, meaning that it's basically a solar beam out of the sun with more downsides
the fun meme sets are the ones that let you sweep if you catch the opponent off guard, like an anger point mon with a frost breath mon or the aforementioned terracot
it really just seems like you're trying to build verlisify-tier waste-of-time shitmon sets

Can't remember details atm but Mega Mawile (Intimidate) with low speed partnered with eviolite dusclops (Frisk)
>Turn 1
>Mawile Megas and protects
>Dusclops throws up the trick room
>Opponents always trying to quick KO Mawile and rarely attack my bulky ass Dusclops, essentially giving me free trick room
>Speedy M Mawile gives them the business while hiding behind protect and Sucker punch
>Dusclops has willo-wisp and fucking pain split to really fuck things up

I still love this setup. Dusclops gets fucked by taunt though.

dusclops seems like such a dead weight pokemon, especially if this is vgc
I'd much rather have something with any offensive presence, or something like cresselia that can support my pokemon in more than one way
