I want to get back into playing the new pokemon. I stopped playing

If you're going with Gen 5, get Black 2. Don't even bother with Gen 6, it's too easy and the story was boring.

Also, naturally, you'll only get the full experience if you get White as well and play that first.

gen 5 is great. Not a fan of 6 but would highly recommend BW1 and 2. Then give XY a shot if you can borrow a copy or something and see how the world 'feels' to you.

XY is good. Definitely worth a playthrough. Gen 5 is just okay.

If you really want to get back into pokemon gen 6 is a great start. The plot is meh and it's pretty easy, but it's a great introduction to stuff like mega evolution and fairy typing. I like them a lot

As long as you don' listen to those trolls, you'll be fine playing Bw and Bw2. Give XY a short if you wanna experience how pokémon is in 3d, but don't even bother with ORAS.
