Aegislash + Heatran + Skarmory have immunities to all three types Steel is weak to. Then you just need to cover the core's weaknesses to Ghost, Water, Electric and Dark with your other three mons.

Yeah, Fighting/??? types are my bane. I was thinking of just Stealth Rock and Roaring things like Infernape in and out until it died. Other candidates for Skarmory's spot include Starmie (with Thunderbolt), Chandelure to catch Fire boosts for the two Steels, Gengar or Zapdos, but no matter what I do it leaves a glaring hole. Seems I'm going to have to drop one of the other mons to make it work.
