The game makes several comments with Kukui and Lillie on Hau being kinda dopy. But It seems he just doesn't care. He's carefree, doesn't take much seriously at all. I personally feel it clashes extremely well with Gladion creating an interesting dynamic between the two. Wish they worked on it more however.
