What does a pokemon game need in your opinion in order to have

just gimme a bunch little battle towers like in platinum and emerald so i can actually use all the pokemon that you get only in postgame because every fucking gen does it

battle facility and extra replayable stuff to do that isn't just a battle tower clone.

HGSS and BW2 have the best post game. Emerald BF is also really replayable because of how challenging some of the facilities are.

Johto spoiled me so I always wanted a second region to go to but for a good post game, I would say battle facilities, legendary or mythical pokes become available by doing quests and cameos/battles with trainers from past games that can add to the story or give a good end boss challenge
