Okay so I'm chaining Caterpies for practice and I'm up to 100 and paranoid. Which method(s) increase shininess?

You'll want your false swipe mon to also have at least one move that can one shot any crap mons that come up, like I'm using pluck on Caterpie. And because you'll likely be at this longer than you have PP you'll either need to switch mons or have restoration items like ethers and leppa berries. You'll also want healing items because chip damage adds up and even healing moves will run out eventually.

And get comfortable. It's probably going to take awhile.

The first one, since you want the pokemon to summon more ally, with the use of adrenaline orb it will guarantee the pokemon with HP <50% to summon ally most of the time. you just keep the first pokemon HP low and it'll keep summoning more pokemon more reliably.

Not by much, if at all. I'm about 100 into this Meowth chain and the level range seems to be about Lv6-8 for them. And it's kinda random too. A Lv8 can summon a Lv6 and vice versa.
The level range might be wider for higher leveled Pokémon but I wouldn't know. This is my first try at it.
