Truth be told I'm actually a little over 28 hours in, and just beat Ground Kahuna. I haven't encountered the legendary yet and I expect and elite 4+champ. So I'm defintely expecting my playtime to be like 35 ish hours.

Maybe all those times stopping to do the Pokemon Refresh bogged my time down.

That's sounds like bullshit, X&Y in particular I dont remember lasting longer than 25 hours. And yeah, I keep my animations on.

Everyone really jumped at me for turning animations off, I mean they waste a lot of time for something ive seen 1000 times. I keep them on for the first hour till I get bored of seeing the same drawn out animation and stat effects, I just want to battle not nut to my pokemon spewing water over my enemies for the thousandth time you feel

i just turned mine off after 20+ hours, everything feels kinda sluggish and i only really play at night after work so it makes me even more tired having to sit through them every time i trigger a battle

I kept mine on until the post game where I wasn't seeing many new moves anymore. Still managed to beat the game in about 15 hours with them on.
