What you are playing now is the unfinished product since there is only 2.8gigs of data on that file. The rest of it hasn't been implemented for a reason and GF is playing 4d chess. The full data can only be accessed through the real games on the release date and will include the necessary procedures for obtaining the national dex+more trainers to battle in the Tree.
