that's bullshit, as soon we got the first leaks the hype gradually went down (it wasn't this fast only because the game needed to be explored because they got datamined much later), while the effect of the datamine on ORAS was the same as SM

Personally no. The leaks made me even more excited, but it probably helped that everyone wasn't already playing the game.
