Its SpD is pretty good, but its movepool is the problem. It gets that new water attack that lowers defense. If it gets Leech Life that could be fun. It doesn't get Sticky Web IIRC, so its utility is further limited. Shame, really. It has an awesome design. Probably gonna be a standard toxic stall thing otherwise.

It can trap in two ways (Infestation is probably dumb but whatever) and then repeatedly Lunge to lower a physical attacker's Attack stat. It would be able to get kills with whatever sources of residual damage you can pile on. It's also just good enough at Mirror Coating to be a nasty thorn for special attackers - they can't OHKO it, and they'll take quite a lot in return despite what you may think from its stats.

Lol no. Unlike Ledian, Araquanid actually has an attacking stat that it can use as mediocre as it might be. And its typing is actually decent for a defensive mon, unlike Bug/Flying. Plus, its ability makes it (somewhat) Fire resistant and can't get burned either and can pass it down to other via Entrainment. Would be fun on Scizor or Ferrothorn.

It's no way near as bad as Ledian, no pokemon will ever be as bad as it.
