jolly with scarf would hit 376 speed and one fell stinger kill would boost its attack from 269 to 672 and it being a 75 BP STAB move makes it quite likely to actually knock something out in late game

Try the damage calcs if you want - the fucker gets Adaptability off a 150 Atk stat. Anything that survived his STAB hits before were 4x resists, and they don't care about him now either.

Hopefully in the next games fell stinger and leech life get better distribution.

What do yall think about leavanny? it gets fell stinger and chlorophyll, maybe that could work. Mega Bee is probably better sticking with his current set and being an offensive pivot, he doesn't need more attack anyways and he's so fragile he probably can't stay out and sweep.

Running it on such a frail mon with no priority that would require either a full sweep or loss of switch initiative every time it comes in seems like trouble. If I had my heart set on running Fell Stinger I'd just as soon run it over Protect and bluff the fuck out of Protect whenever Beedrill comes in. You'll get more mileage out of the attack boost with U-turn than hard switching and it's unlikely you'll be able to catch a switch with Beedrill that you can one-shot with Fell Stinger since bluffing Protect is gonna be essentially hoping they switch when they see Beedrill come in and they won't switch to something that wants to take an Adaptability Poison Jab or U-turn.

Z-Moves make this set even worse since they hit partially through Protect, they would have little to lose on throwing out a Z-Move on an un-mega Beedrill switch since it either chunks or kills Beedrill if it Protects or another mon takes it raw.

Fell Stinger seems a gimmick on Beedrill.
