Agility is its best option. Its special attack is so huge it can actually get 1HKOs on a lot of shit with Life Orb and SR damage.

Trick room only lasts a few turns, agility lasts as long as he doesn't have to switch out.

If you build your whole team around trick room then sure skip agility but otherwise it's his best option.

Pretty much. It's either slow, Volt Switch pivot or all out attacker with a Life Orb and Agility. Predictable either way, but could get things done. Nice typing and Levitate help.

Not with that speed. Typically only fast pokemon or pokemon with strong priority do that. Even with EVs, it's so frail it probably won't survive a whole lot, except maybe something choice locked into a resisted move or something

Then you might as well go with a pokemon who has mediocre attack, but fast speed and good coverage and then set up a swords dance or something. That way if you DON'T find a free turn for set up, you can still outspeed and have a chance of being useful. If you are slow and try to set up, you won't accomplish anything

Thundurus-T is a better Scarfer. Hell Tapu Koko can run specs and outspeed more than that beetle. Vikavolt is a special Escavaleir if anything. Trick Room where it could put it's power to work.

Why Scarf? Is it really such a huge deal to run agility on him? One turn set up and he's good to go and not locked in. One agility is a bigger boost than scarf as well isn't it?
