Wouldn't that fix literally all the problems with Pokemon while keeping it approachable to newcomers? Or is Gamefreak to inteligent to fix Pokemon this way for some complex reasons I can't understand?

Jokes aside, I don't understand why they don't do this, except that the game is too slow and grinding would be a pain in the ass. Namco Bandai nailed hard mode in Digimon Cyber Sleuth
