Between this and Leech Life becoming 80 BP someone important at Gamefreak must really like Skeeter.

To be fair, while it does suck that it had to be so slow, for a pokemon that is suppose to be the equivalent of "early bug mon" Vikavolt probably got a better deal then most in the end. Yeah its slow and probably will take some work to really make useful, but that special attack is crazy. Its not incredibly bulky, but it has enough in HP and both defenses not to be considered paper. The speed will definitly hinder it, but atleast it packs a wallop.

It's really not THAT bad. The speed is pretty dissapointing, but it's got reasonable bulk, and good coverage with a monster attack. It'll work well as a pivot with Volt Switch, especially given it's ability.

More sweeper oriented sets with Agility might be viable in mid tiers as well.

Just because it doesn't ravage top tier OU, doesn't mean it's a shitmon. I don't know why /vp/ sees things as either "10/10 banned to AG" or "-0/10 literally Ledians toilet bowl"

The only reason that's lower than average is because HP has crazy outliers on the higher end in abundance.

Just take a quick stroll through OU. There are plenty of pokemon with equal or lower HP, many of which have either pivot roles, or straight up act as walls.

To name a few: Gliscor, Rotom, Skarmory, Sableye, Bisharp, Magnezone.

Vikavolt even has access to Roost, and can alternatively make use of Assault Vest. Really, it's only issue as far as defenses go, is it only has 5 types that it resists/immune to. Worth noting, its only weak to 2 types.
