This guy overcame Pidove as the "literally a real animal" of all 800+ pokémon
I like it, but we have to admit that its design isn't creative doesn't look like a fictional creature.
>>29820484
I was skeptical of it at first, but its beak changes color when attacking. That's enough to set it apart.
>>29820484
it's just a fucking toucan. there's nothing outstanding about it.
>>29820484
>blue feet
>doesn't look like a fictional creature
retard
>B-but anon, its beak changes color
Fuck that and this shitty design. It's not that hard to give a bird a god damn poke spin on design.
>>29820511
There's also the fact that it's fucking huge.
>>29820484
>not liking based toucan with a thermoregulating beak that heats up with pure rage
The way its beak changes color as it's heating/charging up slightly redeems the design for me.
Show me one toucan that's literally Toucannon
>>29820517
Bruh
>>29820530
It's not hard to make a furry wrestler either completely based off a different furry wrestler
Why is he so angry
>>29820559
>>29820567
it looks so strange when going from yellow => striped. robotic almost
>>29820517
are you retarded?
>>29820517
Uh...
>>29820595
Wow, they even have that red tuft on their ass. 100% unimaginative design. Shitmon of the century.
>>29820559
No, I just gotta emphasize this for a second.
Where and when has a toucan EVER been portrayed as angry? Recent studies have already shown that toucans use their beaks for thermoregulation, and Toucannon's beak heats up with pure RAGE. It's an ANGRY toucan. I honestly can't think of any other time a toucan was angry.
>>29820559
>>29820567
...does its tail click like the hammer of a gun in one of its attack animations, or nah?
>>29820657
the animal itself is pretty ruthless - it will invade the nests of other birds, then use its serrated beak to saw the hatchlings to pieces to better eat them.
>>29820657
What I'm trying to say is:
Toucannon is pretty much a toco toucan. There's no denying that. Even with the small little details that make it from being exactly like a real toco toucan, it's right up there with Caterpie in being a Pokemon that's almost exactly like its real life counterpart.
But the unexpected rage is what really sets it apart for me. I was not expecting them to reference the thermoregulation powers of toucan beaks, and I most certainly was not expecting an angry toucan, and that's what makes me love Toucannon.
>>29820667
You bet.
It STANDS UP on its tail feathers. It's great.
It would be so simple to fix it
>>29820776
X10 better
What I loved the most about Pikipek was its head colors. That's why Toucannon has been irking me so much.
Yeah, a pretty bland design.
Other than the beak color changing, which you only see when it attacks, what even sets it apart from an actual toucan? Like in >>29820595
>>29820862
The spot patterns, the stripes, how the tail works, its expression
Mixed with a calao
>>29820590
It's a progress bar that tells it when its next shot is ready to fire.
>>29820484
the red fringe in the back is meant to make it look like a rocket.
>>29820776
>>29820989
>I missed the point of Trumbeak in the line's progression
Good job ripping off Staraptor and Talonflame though.
Anyone have animations of shiny Toucannon?
>>29820531
Plus its beak can fucking burn you.
>>29820567
Yeah.
Toucannon love! <3
>>29820657
This same gen gave us reverse diving bell spiders and undead seaweed. Angry toucans seem far less of a twist compared to those.
