The clothes selection is seriously pathetic compared to XY. Everything looks the same, it's just slightly different shirts and shorts/skirts, shops offer like 2 kinds of items each. So far I've seen only 1 shop offering the accessory type items, and I'm not even sure what are those because nothing on the preview changes. Maybe you need to take the hat off to see it, I don't know, too lazy to check, either way ridiculous. No dresses, no swimsuits, no real variety. You get to the china themed city and shop, can't even get a qipao.

I do like Chicken-chan, but with the possibility of customize the avatar, I think that would be better to go along with my on gender. And I didn't like any of the custom Chiken-chan I saw. So, to play with her and deny myself the customization side of the game seems unappealing.
If there was no customization at all, things would be different. I have been thinking about playing with her and make a party of masculine and agressive-looking pokémon to contrast her cuteness... maybe on the third game/sequel.

Yeah, the reason is that NTR is ram heavy, so if you're on an old 3DS you won't be able to start the menu in certain games. Not sure if the New 3DS lets you open it in SM since I don't have it.
