Metagross is restricted by a Mega Stone while Solgaleo is not. Solgaleo has decent stats across the board, meaning it could run a couple of different sets. I'm not expert when it comes to competitive, but I'm pretty sure that Solgaleo is still too good for the OU meta, same with Lunala. I'd rather wait and see what people can pull off with it.
