A quick look at the developement history of any of the pokémon games is all you need to confirm that.

And while it is slow in the O3DS, I don't think it is always as slow as that anon is saying. Never bothered to count, but while it is slow and a bit heavy on the loading side, it's not that bad, not all the time at least. There are times when the loading is annoyingly slow, but knowing gamefreak I expected this game to be so horrifically broken on Old 3DS I really don't feel like complaining.
