almost the entier meta game is about outspeeding. pokemon is gernally very fast and most of the time a pokemon does to one hit or two. and it's not like they are exceptionally bulky or have a great support movepool. this trio is going to be the least competitive viable trio to dateor at best slightly better than gen 2's

Seriously though, how can these things be worse than the Gen 2 starters? Primarina is looking great, will probably become a stronger Sylveon. Incineroar has Intimidate which is always useful, and decent bulk consider it has a good Attack stat. Decidueye has a wide variety of utility moves, and could be a useful technical mon. While Primarina is good right off the paper, the other two may eventually get their chances to shine. Gen 2's starters are undoubtedly horrible, please try and explain how Meganium is better than any of these three
