How do I find a Pikachu? I've been hunting the first island

It's time based. I fucked around in the demo and saw like seven of them.

Forget Pikachu, anyone know about all the pokemon you can find in Alola?

My pokedex says they're in Route 1 in the little grass patch sort of in front of Iki Town. But there are a lot more in Hau'oli City in grass surrounding the buildings in the bottom left half of the city.

But yeah like someone else said just evolve a Pichu. I ran around Hau'Oli for like an hour and didn't see a single Pikachu.
