BW and BW2 are fascinating in that they take place in the same region, but do wildly different things with it. While BW was story-focused and gave you an entire region of new Pokemon, while BW2 was focused on side content and throwing old Pokemon at you constantly. I really like gen 5 as a whole because of that.

B/W were my favorite pokémon games, aside from the fact that I wasn't really digging the design of the region.

Exactly what I usually tell people. Gen 5 had a great composition. The amount of different pokemon available throughout BW2 is amazing, and BW gave a good introduction to all the new ones and setting. I'll probably never learn to appreciate the gen 6 and 7 mons as much, because I wasn't forced to use them.
