Personal preference has no bearing on the actual chance of getting the game. DP remakes are actually the games we are currentlt the most likely to get as of now. There's nothing else left for GameFreak to make, as both Z and Delta Emerald are driven by Mega Evolution, and they said in an interview that they're done with that subject, and getting Eclipse right after Sun & Moon, if even at all, is much more unlikely. As is not getting anything at all and just jumping to Gen 8 immediately, that's just absurd.
