It works just like an -ate minus the damage boost, aka the thing that makes -ates useful. So fine, it isn't an -ate. It's a nerfed version of one. Just like Sparkling Aria is a nerfed version of Wake-Up Slap. Because fuck the starters this gen. Seriously it's like GF went out of their way to make them bad.

Most mons with those abilities aren't even viable, or run something else. Decidueye doesn't even give a shit about half of those since it'll just shoot off a Spirit Shackle which isn't a contact move.

I'm super excited about this ability, won't make it OU imo but in battle spot it'll be a great choice if they have a few of those asshole defensive standards.
