When people say "Pokés" are they pronouncing it like "She pokes the balloon with a needle", or like a black person saying "Poor keys" i.e. "Po' keys"?
Are you retarded? The second one obviously.
Poke-ays.
Because it's not poke mon, nor is it pokeymon, it's pokaymon.

Neither.
Po kays.
>>29734252
>>29734266
Fuck you both. I still read it as "pokes" as in 'poke a hole in your head with a bullet.'
>>29734235
Pokes as in poking a balloon, only autist animefags say "pok-ays"
POE-KAYs you degenerate>>29734252
i call mine pokemans
>>29734235
The firs one obviously
You don't pronounce Slowpoke as "Slowpokee", do you? It's the same logic here
>>29734235
like a nigger saying poor keys
>>29734235
if you say po-kee fast enough it sounds like poke
The correct abbreviation of Pokemon is "mons".

Whatever slut.
There is clearly not a consensus on the pronunciation. 'Pokes' is far more bro-sounding though, that's why I assumed people said it that way, and it fits my perception of the hive mind better, therefore it's true.

>or like a black person saying "Poor keys" i.e. "Po' keys"?
What? Are you saying "Pokies?"
I don't call them anything. I simply ask "Do you want to trade?" The message gets through pretty clear since trading is a thing only found in Pokemon games.
Pretty sure it's Poe-Kays. Like Okay with a P in front of it. You don't say Poke Mon, like Coke Mon do you?

>every mmo
>>29734628
Yeah, but might be a play on words, like a combination of 'folks' and 'Pokemon'. Pronounced like "she POKES the balloon".
This is what people call 'hip'.

>trading is a thing only found in Pokemon games.
Man...
>>29734413
But Slowpoke's name also isn't "Slowpoké."
>>29734235
>Man I love my poakmon
>Pokeemon are really cool
are you retarded

This isn't a thread asking "how do you pronounce 'Pokémon'?" It's already common knowledge that it's pronounced 'Poe-kay-mon' (although only autists are sticklers about it).
I'm asking how people are pronouncing the bastardization of the word when referring to the one's that they consider bro-tier (at least that's the most common way I've seen 'Pokés' being said.) I assumed it adopted the hard 'Oh' sound from 'bro'.
>>29734793
Err, let me correct that. I thought it dropped the double syllable sound and became a single syllable sound to mimic 'bro'.
