It's actually more likely for Pokemon stats, when converted to real ones, is exponential.
Goodra has base 100 Atk
Machamp/Volcanion/Tyranitar have 130/4 offenses respectively
And Regigigas has 160 base attack
There is only a 30 base difference between the stats, but the pokedex entries are exponently different.
Goodra's punch is about 100 punches made by a boxer
Machamp/Tyranitar/Volcanion can move mountains in some fashion
And Regigigas can move multiple countries at once.
Now just imagine what it must feel like to be hit by a power trick +6 helping hand by 2 Cherrims in the Sun Metronome max power roll out from Shuckle. It should at least rival Saitama in power.
