Pikachu libre is awesome and my favorite character on the cast

Everyone acts like Pikachu Libre "stole" the slot on the roster from Hawlucha, when the inclusion of a cosplay Pikachu was probably decided before choosing which one to implement. Libre was just the most obvious of the five for a fighting game.

Such as? Libre doesn't have the same animations as normal Pikachu. And they get all of the models straight from the main games anyway, they just don't have the cel shading and use different textures.

would have been bad. They borrowed the moveset from some Tekken character and chose an appropriate Pokemon character to shove it into. Libre has its electrical powers as a conceit to how it can do Germans and shit, Hawlucha would have to do it manually and it would look awkward.
