Playing through Platinum but have a bad habit of using similar

Weavile is pretty great. Bronzong is fun but Bronzor is absolute trash, so get a Bronzor later on, maybe on the way to the 7th badge or something like that. Mismagius can be nice too.
Pic related was my Platinum team, I still need to finish this run. I'd use Lumineon for a full gen 4 team with no repeating types, but it's just so bad, and I already have Kricketune as the dedicated shitmon.

Use Steel Wormadam, in game it can tank hits. Another possibility is randomizing it.

Porygon-Z, Gallade, most of the Sinnoh evolutions really.

Try Rampardos if you got an odd numbered ID as well, it's not amazing but it's novel if you can get a fossil in the Underground.
