I came on /vp/ just to see what people thought of the episode, and I'm glad to see people at least liked Cyrus. Personally, I really enjoyed it. Cyrus got his ideal world, Giratina got someone to keep him company. Fuck the rest of Team Galactic. They were useless anyway. I only needed them to catch the Lake Trio.

fucking Champion Lance walks into the Rocket Gang base; he, in no way, required Gold's help, the player character is there as backup (and to divert some attention).

Archie's plan was legit retarded; got exactly what he deserved. Maxie's plan is slightly less retarded but he too dies in Courtney's vision which implies it ends the same way.

Cyrus' plan was brilliant however it was countered by Giratina showing up and breaking the chains. The player character didn't need to be there to see that. The Champion Cynthia being the first to arrive and threaten Galactic's plans makes more sense. Cyrus being happy with the Distortion World makes more sense than him being upset. The episode also implies Giratina attacks Cyrus at the end there with its roar before the feed cuts out.

These alterations to the story are good and honest improvements to the games. I'm concerned about what they might do to Gen 5 tho.

This episode was perfect. I especially loved the ending. Giratina got someone to play with, and he didn't even have to leave his world. Giratina is the best legendary. Looked cute is and scary at the same time. Totally underrated.

Before the Aqua episode I got into an argument with people who were saying Generations was meant to be canon to the games. I'm glad they've gotten even more BTFO but honestly I do wish Generations could actually be expanding on stuff from the games instead of either just animating scenes from the games or changing shit for no reason.

An episode about Archie and Maxie working on the same team when they were younger, or following Wally on his journey showing his perspective, or an episode about Cyrus finally leaving the Distortion World, or even an episode about Zinnia's backstory with Aster would have all been cooler than most of what we've gotten.

Not quite. Notice how all this dialogue is specifically due to the presence of Cynthia and the PC's interference. This Generations episode shows what would happen (and most likely does due to the canon) if he was simply taken by Giratina alone.

Cynthia and the PC weren't supposed to enter the Distortion World. Giratina took Cyrus specifically for his desire of an empty world.
