I've never noted that Nidorans doesn't have the colored venus/mars symbol, maybe because the symbol is already on it's name, ok, but it triggers me.

Nidorina for comparison.
sorry about your autism
It's because it's its own species you genius.
>>29614921
you are missing the point. nidorans don't have gender symbols like all other pokemon.
i'd never noticed this op.

you and op are awfully slow, go back to gs release when people first noticed this.
They're technically coded as "genderless" but the gender is determined in its name, which is why it's symbol is attached to the name. Weird, huh?

No, you're missing the point. Nidoran M/F are technically genderless pokemon, that evolve into only Male and Female pokemon respectively. Breeding a Nidoran M or F, and any of their evolutions gives you a genderless egg that has a 50% chance of being a Nidoran M or F.
"Due to the fact that its gender, , is included in its name, checking Nidoran's summary from Generation II onward will display as if it were genderless if it does not have a nickname. If its nickname is anything other than "Nidoran", its gender will appear as normal."
