Maybe something similar to the pic I posted to keep Dragonair and Dratini's shape. Put some wings on it and replace whatever's on its back with tufts of white fluff, at least from the top of its head to its shoulder. i'm not great at explaining my aesthetic feelings... but i think it looks better- the design is pretty stocky, big head/mane, big shoulders and that ruff on it's ass. to me, it's design is more on strength, rather than elegance. lions are pretty stocky themselves and i kinda see a lynx in it as well. it's tail doesn't reflect that. it's too long, too thin. i think it ruins a cool design

I think Dragonite and Dragonair just should be different Pokémon. Like, Dragonair is a fully evolved dragon and Dragonite is a single stage one. Or, maybe, just give a pre evolution to Dragonite that looks more like him. But I like their designs, I wouldn't want it to change.
