Thanks gamefreak, innocent mon have to suffer now because you didn't think things through when making megas. Regional variants offer a different way to play your favourite Pokemon, but because some are tied to megas, you've locked quite a lot out you fucking dumbasses.

I don't get why people are saying that regional variants wont return because they're gimmicky like megas.... like, in what fashion? It's essentially repurposing an old pokemon to have a new design and lore behind it that's specific for the region it lives in, and it allows the developers to make new pokemon without having to work too hard or fill up the pokedex too quickly.
Face it, shit's more than likely to return, especially since it's being received so well even before the official release of this generation.
