Ability Capsules are going to do you no good since you can't bring them to Sun/Moon. PP Ups, however, still have use, since you can boost the PP of your competitive mons before transferring them.

Global Link was a massive downgrade over what Gen V had. Shit, the only game on the GL which required some form of "skill" or even just paying attention was the Catcher one. And even then the reward was just as randomized as it was in the other three games so it was like, why even try to successfully clear it? Have very little faith in the next iteration of it being any good.
