This is the true way to play SM

maybe in 3 years time
15 NO CONSTANT FPS
>>29570685
>not on your cfw 3ds
kek
>>29570685
HD graphics at 10 FPS
>>29570685
I love 15FPS!!!'
>>29570700
>>29570723
Runs fine if you have a quality computer. I just enjoyed the demo yesterday
At worse FPS than the 3DS and no online. CFW is the way to go for now until Citra builds improve.
>>29570685
That is the true way to play in generation 8 on the Switch.

>>29570777
You don't need an absurdly powerful computer. I have a $600 one and it runs just fine.
Can Citra use Pokebank to transfer your mons to the next game? Because if not, there is literally no reason to ever use it for Pokemon
>>29570777
>runs fine
Significantly worse than the real console is not fine
>>29571130
No, but you can get its safe file and insert it into your game since it's decrypted.
Finally a reason to have two GTX 980 in SLI :^)
>>29571179
>Pokémon on the Switch
Itt poor fags trying to justify not affording a 3ds
>>29570685
>"""Glorious HD graphics"""
>Generation 8 on the Switch will probably literally be Sun/Moon-tier graphics with Citra HD upscaling and higher res textures (but still noticably shitty when not on the handheld display)
I don't know how I feel about this feel
>>29571218
>poorfags
>the people that run this smoothly have PCs that cost 6-7 times more than a 3DS
>>29571239
Why do you think they're poor, anon?
>>29570777
>>29571239
PCs also have other uses. A 3DS is a luxury item, no matter what, but the basic expectation in the modern world is that you WILL have your own personal computer.
>>29571420
I prefer the outlines to be kept on.
>>29571024
>no sound
and probably it sped up
>>29571184
only if emulator supports it.
also I think CPU plays bigger role here
>>29571504
Multicore support? Got an 8 core 16 thread cpu so that shouldn't be an issue. also my monitor layout is perfect for 3ds play...
Got a 27 inch 1440p monitor above a lower res pen input display (also 2 1080p monitors to the side but they are irrelevant)
Obviously I have a hacked 3ds as well but one thing that always bothered me is the tiny screen and I can't get a 3ds XL for a while now.
>>29571432
That's like saying that i could kill you with a rock or a gun, which one do you think will get the job done without the need to be heavily modified?
>>29571573
Citra only supports one core
>>29571573
Last thing i heard the emulator only uses 1 core, just like a 3DS would, so multicore cpu are a waste here.
>>29571598
>>29571611
Welp, shouldn't fall for the MOAR COARS meme then...
>>29571118
600 dollars
You expect fucks on here that can't afford two games to buy a 600 dollar computer?
>>29570685
So far I've played all Pokemon games up to Gen 5 included on emulators. Can't wait for Citra to become more stable so I can play Gen 6 onwards without issues.
>>29571926
You have three options
>Wait a whole year and half for citra to worth well with sound and little bugs
>fucking buy a 3ds and play the games like they're suppose to
>go the cheap way and get a 2ds for 80$ and hack it so you can play all the games of the 3ds for only 80$ on a somewhat small screen
>>29571420
>autist because I want to experience it as close to the real console as possible
Well, fuck you then.
>>29571627
Wouldn't the games have to be modified to make use of multiple cores to actually make a difference, too?
>>29572847
It's emulator dependent. Unlike windows games you don't run an executable to run the individual games, rather only the executable for the game interpreter.
One pahcento oranju juucu?
>>29572881
Ah, cool, thanks.
>>29571926
Just buy a 3DS jesus christ. You're missing out on a lot by sticking to emulators
>>29572933
>PGL about to close
>missing out on a ''"lot"'
>>29570685
>Get to play while comfy on my large monitor with a real controller

>>29572320
>I want low resolution!
???
>>29572320
>preferring the "real" experience over the objectively better one
That's why you're an autist.
>>29571574
why not both?
>>29575095
what? It's closing for a few weeks before SM comes out, all basic online features are also still there
>>29570685
Wait, does the emulator run the game at a high resolution, or does it upscale it to a high resolution?
If it's the former I'll probably just emulate S&M then.
>>29575174
Not that guy but playing the game on a console and ability to take it anywhere you want is more appealing to me. Also touchscreen
>>29575271
I'd really prefer to buy a switch. Ninty has a habit of closing down online services and when that happens it's no different to an emulator.
>>29575293
High resolution. But NO GUARANTEE that it'll actually emulate SM. (XY still doesn't work)
>>29570723
silky smooth 15 fps
By the time pokemons on 3ds emu will be stable and fully playable there will be already 8 gen on Switch
>>29575342
it's not a habit. The company that handled their servers before went under.
>>29572025
>>29572933
I'll just wait for the emulator to get better. It's not like I'm interested in any other 3ds game other than Pokemon and I still have shit to do in the older games.
>>29575174
>>29575210
So you're the kind of guys that mod your games until they're unrecognizable before playing them in vanilla.
What a pair of tasteless subhumans.
>>29576153
Isn't it the opposite?
It's late, maybe I'm misunderstanding
>>29576239
Read their posts, they're the ones "ditching" the vanilla options.
Not saying there's something wrong with playing with better graphics, just saying that playing with the original ones is fine too, and they're fools for thinking otherwise.
>>29570685
I too look forward to whatever pokemon game comes out on the Switch.
>>29571130
Just use the home brew bank to move it to a legit copy.
>all these "controller" autists
You fuckbois probably claimed the Gamecube and left the kid brother with the GBA/GB right? There is nothing wrong with the 3DS/DS/PSP as controllers.
>removing outlines on a portable game for """""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""aych dee"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
It doesn't look better, you're asking for a change that makes the game look worse because of what people say it is. You're the kind of people who'd believe it is a set of Power Rangers toys being sold to you from a Chinese business.
>>29576153
Wew lad, you're way off the mark of the point I'm trying to make. I prefer the game to be played within the artistic vision of the developers, but there's always room for improvement for any piece of art. Why else would HD versions and remakes be a thing? Are you the type that prefers WW over WWHD? Even though it's superior in every possible way, you'd rather be stuck up and play the original just for the sake of playing the original? I feel sorry for you that you have that kind of mentality.
>tl;dr: check the game on nov 28, if it works: fine, if not: sucks for you.
>tl;dr2: it's highly unlikely performance improvements or any big feature will be integrated before sun and moon comes out. nightly will be at-best (!) like our current bleeding edge is today when pokemon comes out. bleeding edge probably won't see many updates either until then
So there we go, it either works or doesn't.
