Switch isn't even the 3DS successor, there's a new dedicated handheld in the works as well, they've confirmed this. Switch will definitely get some Pokémon games, but they'll most likely just be spinoffs, and the main series will stay on the dedicated handhelds.

Gen 8 might as well be for Switch, but I'm sure your DP remakes will be for 3DS.

And before you point out Gen IV wasn't on GBA but on DS, the DS came out in 2004 while Gen IV happened in 2006, so it already passed enough time for them to jump hardware.

I'm not convinced that GF will migrate Pokemon to the Switch, at least, not the main games. It's not a dedicated mobile system, plus Pokemon just fits all too well on the 3DS.

Don't forget that FRLG came out while the DS was out, and B2W2 came out after the 3DS came out. It's perfectly possible that DP remakes will come out for the 3DS.
In any case, even if they do all come out for the Switch and not for the 3DS, that doesn't mean it's not generation 7. Generation definitions are shaky, and you have no way of knowing if pokemon games on the Switch will be compatible with games on the 3DS or not.
