Its really weird that Amour made such an impact given its literally only been around 3 years.

Just think about that for a second. Serena's one of the shortest lived main pokemon girls in the least amount of episodes alongside Iris. She's only been around 3 years. The XY anime even has the lowest ratings of all the sagas.

And yet despite all that, Amour exploded in popularity. It feels really weird because we're 19 years into the anime and you wouldn't think a ship and character introduced this late would take off so well.

Honestly, most of the specials feels like wasted potential. Dawn's special was pretty lame for a character that took the spotlight so much.I like the one about Brock's brother the best

The entire scene seems so simple until that sigh, and the smile afterwards. That's the part I don't understand. I theorized that it may have been because he was proud of her or something, but I don't know if that's it. He was so calm throughout the entire thing, much more so than Clemont and Bonnie, and the latter is confirmed to have known long beforehand. I would say that he just doesn't understand it at all, but the way that his eyes glistened, just like hers, tells me that might not be the case, either. It's almost like... Well, i realized something.
They could bring her back, 100%. They advertised this challenge tree (with Red and Blue and so on..) in the SM games and since the SM anime took a lot from the games because of advertisements..

Serena isn't the strongest trainer at all, but they can change it in the anime. Right now, a cameo is more than possible.
And since she said: "Next time, i'll be a more charming woman", a comeback in SM can happen.

I've been watching the kiss scene for a while now, and I noticed something. And what I noticed proves this scene was so well constructed, it'll make your head spin.

Serena is a moving platform, which doesn't stay still ever. That means that if she wanted to stay still for more than a few seconds, she'll have to keep moving upwards.
When she kisses Ash, she leans forward (no sh*t, Sherlock!), but she does so for just a second, before the escalator goes down.
Now, during that very second, Ash moves his right foot, to better support himself. He did it so that the kiss would continue.

And the glistening eyes... I've long defended that there's a layer to the onion that is Ash Ketchum that we didn't know, and I'll actually try to find the post I said it.

Also, for all the images we've been seeing so far, Ash and Serena have similar heights. If Serena has to raise herself to kiss Ash, that's means he's taller, meaning he's getting older, meaning he's starting to understand what love is...

Speaking of which, seeing everyone, even those who has been very negative, come out after Serena's kiss and shout out their satisfaction is making me happy.

Something I noticed. What is Ash and Serena's motto? Never give up till the very end. I find it interesting that by sticking to their motto, us Amourshippers finally came to the elusive kiss. The motto is a bit symbolic, both in-universe and meta. Maybe it was intentional.

honestly that episode gave everybody here some great laughs

Going by how Ash's left foot moves slightly forward it does seem like he sort of leans into the kiss as Serena starts to get moved away by the escalator. As someone who literally took a 17 year break from the series starting with the Johto series I am happy with how this ended but at the same time sad as the XY saga was the most enjoyable series in the anime for me. I do hope they bring Serena back at some point though it wouldn't surprise me if that didn't happen until after Sun and Moon.

Not gonna lie, I think that song (Meloetta's Moonlight Serenade or something?) just got promoted to an official Amour song. At the least, I'm putting it up there with "Laverre City" and "Tweedia". I'm ever so slightly disappointed that "Candy Girl" didn't play, but ultimately, that moment washed away pretty much all of my grievances with XY (a few still remain... like a certain badass ninja frog's departure).
