How do you beat Primal Groudon and Kyogre in Singles, /vp/? I'm just using battlespot so obviously people aren't going to be using tiers, but whenever I end up against one 9/10 times it's a loss for me. What can I use that's NOT either one of them, or Rayquaza? I just find them so boring and such an obvious pick.

Since you seem to playing Free Battle for whatever reason, just blast them with EV trained, IV'd mons. Chances are the 10 year olds with their legendaries aren't going to have those.
Darkrai
Mega Kangaskhan works after +2
power herb Xerneas
mega Salamence

Golduck fucks over Primal Groudon ok.
No clue on Kyogre.
wait for sun/moon you have the choice of playing battle spot with or without legends

What should I do instead of free battles? This isn't bait, I'm just relatively new to competitive and have only used Showdown.

For Primal Kyogre, the first few I can think of off the top of my head are Ferrothorn, Gastrodon and Lanturn. Seaking also resists all three of Kyogre's common attacks, but can't do much back.
Groudon is more difficult to beat outside of the obvious Cloud Nine Golduck. Gyarados can do a decent job of walling it, and can then dragon dance earthquake and hope for the best.
Just a few ideas, not sure how they would work in practice but I'm theory they should work out.

Literally anything with Water Absorb, Dry Skin, or Storm Drain works well at kicking P-Kyogre's ass.

Ranked is better, but it's kind of pointless getting into it now with SM coming out in a month. I'd just stick with Showdown for now.

for kyogre: groudon, ferrothorn, darkrai, geoxern with thunder, mega rayquaza, anything that can hit hard physically neutral can kill it from 50-60%
