Good región with starters and legendarios that are all pretty good and only had legendarios be either rare or powerful Pokémon. The birds were nothing special until they got tied to Lugia for some dumb reason. Plus it didn't have separate box legends so that's a plus. 9/10

Began the annoying trend of roaming legendaries. It is an interesting mechanic but you had no reliable way of knowing where they went until Gen 4. Also began the trend of exclusive legendaries with one of the trios not even being from Johto. The starters except for Meganiun are all nicely designed but have a serious case of "it just gets bigger" syndrome. Ho-Oh and Lugia were interesting and had it was nice that you could get the the other in the post game I think . Dogs were okay but had nice lore around them. Lugia didn't have a water typing even though it's the beast of the sea or whatever. 7/10

I'll ignore the fact they that they just give one of the Latis in ORAS since it was a remake only thing. Weather trio have a cool insight into the lore and were awesome to look at. Also gave real interaction between legendaries. Unfortunately, Groudon was completely stomped by Kyogre type wise which is done. Rayquaza finally gave the dragon typing to a legendary which made sense since its supposed to be a powerful type. Regis were awesome in design and lore. Their puzzle was fun but also had dumb parts. The Latis were pretty boring in design and lore and were just annoying. Starters are generally good but Swampert is an ugly pile of sin but notas bad as Meganiun. 8/10

Too many fucking legendaries holy shit. And this is my favorite gen too. Creation trio were interesting lore wise but their concepts of gods was silly. Giratina is the best designed with Dialga being okay and Palkia being shit since it looks like dick and balls.Lake trio were boring but seeing more interaction between legendaries is nice. Giratina being this unknown third legend was cool since he wasn't a peace keeper like Rayquaza and just didn't want his place to get fucked up. Sinnoh gave us fucking Phione and a bunch of other random ass legendaries. I like Rotom though, it's cool, same with Gigas. Arceus being hyped up but not even being in the games was stupid. Best starters.7/10

Except this time one is more special then the other two and their form changes make me want to go blind. Truth vs ideals is cool and Reshiram and Zekrom are nice but because if this only one of them works with N's view. Kyurem is there I guess, not much to say. Victini being in some basement is weird but funny and but unlike Manaphy and Jirachi, its concept doesn't really fit with the other legends. Just realized I missed Deoxys and Celebi,whoops and the worst starters.6.5/10

Xerneas not being weak to either of Yveltal's types is dumb but Life vs Desth is awesome. Zygrade is snake form is better but all these other forms are just unnecessary. Plus they're not even in XY and are in a different region like Arceus was. Diance and carbink are, like other legendaries forgettable. Starters are fine but the Greninja dicksucking is on par with Charizard. 7.5/10

I guess I just worded it badly. True you can get the other legendary, but unlike Gen 1, the main legendary is what is used to advertise that game. Mewtwo and the birds were in all versions and were available at the same type with the only limiter being progress since you reached them mid game. I think the birds were changed with yellow but that's besides the point . You couldn't get Lugia and the same time as Ho-Oh or vice versa. Everyone could get Mewtwo post game regardless of version and you the birds didn't make it so that Moltres is post game in blue and Articuno post game in red.
Plus making two main legendaries led to exclusives anyway. Can't split mewtwo and make him an exclusive. So my argument doesn't matter regardless.
