Let's be honest the most intense sounding Battle in Pokémon was against this edgelord
No music just him and you and the roar of a crowd against you
>>29531144
Never got that far in Colosseum so I wouldn't know
>>29531144
Agreed. Amazing team he had, too.
>>29531190
That's good. If you gave up before the tower part then you'd have never beaten the Final Boss
>Final Boss uses competive strategies and OU mons
>>29531263
No OU mon could get pass my Sudowoodo in Colosseum
>>29531144
It was intense indeed, same with Evice and that badass theme after this fight.
>>29531263
>The foe's Slowking used Skill Swap on the foe's Slaking!
>yfw
>>29531343
>Evice's pokemon have high levels
>All Scizor's stats increased!
>Slaking sweeps your team because of skill swap
The level curve in Colosseum was fucking retarded.
Your Pokemon are only like level 45 when you get to the top of the tower, then you get Evice with his level 60 fuckers.
Plus the fact that his team is actually good.
>>29531406
*higher levels than most of yours
>>29531343
>finally manage to beat him
>surprise he isnt even the final boss
>>29531413
The game expects you to grind against the Colusseums and Shadow Trainers before hand
>tfw no 3rd Stadium or Colosseum game
It hurts.
>>29531343
Pokemon Colosseum has a mechanic where trainers choose their starting Pokemon randomly. Half of the time, he leads with something stupid like Machamp and Slowking, so you never actually see any of his double combinations.
he is hot
>>29531316
cute image
>>29531745
I actually got that Slowking/Slaking combination in my very first playthrough ever. He proceeded to sweep my team.
>>29531745
I replayed the game a few months ago and he started with Slaking/Salamence.
All those fucking Earthquakes man.
>>29531592
>GF seems to want to introduce a new mechanic/variant pokemon set unique to each new game
You never know, man. I'm banking on there being a re-imagining of Shadow Pokemon by at least the gen after this one.
>>29531745
That is honestly a feature I'd love to see in the main games. It would make preparing harder because you'd have no ideal what the lead would be
>Shadow Tyranitar
>Shadow Metagross
seeing as this is a colosseum thread, best theme coming through
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owXv2qq5XGE
>>29531745
I wouldn't say randomly, as I've had instances where the AI specifically chooses pokemon that have an advantage over mine or nullify my strategies, and resetting doesn't change it.
The first trainer with Porygon2 in Realgam Tower for example will always send it out first if you have a mon w/Levitate and Earthquake out first so it traces Levitate every time. Move it to the second slot, and it also moves to the second slot so you can't EQ it.
>>29532192
this
>>29531144
I wasnt really impressed with the lack of music. I could see through their robot-animated characters and weird names that they were kinda trying too hard with that scene. until Evice showed up, and i was a little bit hyped
>>29532389
Evice is definitely 100% random (except the Tyranitar, which always comes out last). In my recent playthrough, I was having so much trouble with him that I had to redo that battle like 20 times. I'd just have to keep rushing in and hoping for a good pair of starting Pokemon.
It was my own fault for not swapping out the early game shitmons and accidentally choosing Bayleaf as my starter.
>>29531144
I want to know why that fucker didn't have any music when you fight him. It's so off putting, but it did make it have a good semblance of tension.
>>29532317
Who else wasted the masterball on Metagross?
>>29532954
I did on my first playthrough since I thought he was the final boss.
Nowadays I'd still do it since fuck dealing with Metagross 3 catch rate. Also it's easier now that I know of the Pokeball glitch.
>>29533001
I doubt the Shadow mons have a catch rate of 3 due to the recoil damage of Shadow Rush and Entei would otherwise be nigh impossible to catch with it being part of a Levitate/Protect+EQ team.
>>29531144
>Colosseum nuzlocke
>>29532340
Forgot how good this theme was.
>>29531144
>there will never again be a villain with a team as interesting as Nascour's and Evice's
Seriously, if Guzma or Lusamine use a Crobat or a Gyarados, I'm just going to quit the game then and there.
>>29533214
They don't even feel like Villian Teams
I mean what bad guy is gonna use Gardevoir or Slowking?
>>29533035
The Gamecube games are nice enough to skip the first shake check, so everything's significantly easier to capture than normal. Otherwise, the mechanics are identical to the main game.
>>29533001
I used it on the Tyranitar ASAP because I was so tired of dealing with Nascour's shit that when Evice popped up I just wanted to get through it no matter what.
>>29533415
Gardevoir fits Lusamine.
>>29531406
>Earthquake
>>29531316
>>29533825
I want both to dominate me and mind control me into their loving slave so I'm cool with this
>>29531144
>has 3 mons that can now mega evolve
