It's mostly a carry over from the first few years, when 360 got a lot more exclusives of all kinds east and west due to devs getting devkits for it sooner even though several eventually got brought to PS3, and despite the shovelware, the Wii still got plenty of worthwhile games from Nintendo as well as third parties up until 2012. I liked this episode a lot. Didn't feel like there was really any intent to pander to fans. I think some animator just had some fun with a vague concept and made it look as nice as they could. I wish more of the episode were experimental like this, instead of just being tidbits from the games that we may or may not have seen ourselves. Probably the most consistent animation of any of the shorts too.
