What more can you get? Porygon was outdated and clunky, Porygon2 is smoothed out and updated. There wasn't anything else they could do but go all out and have Porygon2 completely corrupted.

Porygon3 could happen as a split evolution for the original Porygon. Instead of being a workaround patch for 2's issues, it's a new direct upgrade of the first geared in a different direction.
That way it doesn't ruin 2 and Z and can be its own thing.
