Mimikyu, hands-down.

I honestly believe that Mimikyu is the single greatest Pokémon to ever be designed; the concept behind it is perfect, its personality is amazing, Ghost/Fairy is an incredible type combination...I could go on and on about Mimikyu.

And not to shit on Gen VII, because so many designs are on point this go around, but nothing can hold a candle to Mimikyu.

When Type:Null was revealed, I didn't care much for it as I just figured it be a bland, single-stage pseudo Legend.

But then it was revealed that it evolves into a mini-Arceus. That, combined with its cool lore and awesome design made me fall in love. I don't care how long I have to wait to catch this thing in-game; it will be on my team.

But if I'm totally honest, this is one of the few generations where I actually unironically like nearly every Pokemon revealed. There's a couple of duds, but for the most part it's a really solid roster.

There's something about this gen's designs that seem pushed far out from what I'm used to with pokemon, to the point I couldn't even believe some of them at first glance. All in all it's a great gen I think. Though, personally I don't really "dislike" any pokemon, new or old.

Damn, this is actually pretty tough. I love the look of Vikavolt, even though I'm not huge on bug types, Decidueye has one of the best starter evo designs I've ever seen, and the concept behind Wishi Washi's ability and design is creative AF.

Might have to go with the as-yet-unnamed black UB with the weird square blade things on it's forearms.

I like the reversal of the orchid mantis concept where it's the flower mimicking a mantis.
Its typing and the description of Solar Blade suggests it lures in Rock-types and preys upon them for their mineral-rich bodies and that sounds pretty cool.

It's also super cute, which is a major factor here.

Incineroar is my favorite from this gen, and my favorite starter so far. It reminds me a lot of my cat themed MTG deck, and Ajani, which is my favorite character from MTG.
