I haven't watched much of the anime in a long time (caught a few episodes of the League this time around) but does it seem like Ash just has a lot less personality now? He used to be so immature and brash and goofy and wacky and now he's just like a normal trainer, almost like a blank slate? I mean Serena even kisses him and he almost seems unaffected, like he doesn't understand it. Idk I miss when they gave characters a lot of depth and they weren't all so generic? Maybe it's just me.
