Well they are just after getting their best gen with Talonflame. Also I'm glad Grass/Ghost is getting another try

It's not that great competitively, but I'll be damned if Flying type doesn't have some of my favorite designs.
Rowlet becoming ghost isn't that bad, if anything it made it more interesting.

Flying type is more plain and normal than even the Normal type. It's literally just tacked on to any random thing with wings and room for a second type. It isn't really a cohesive, meaningful type on its own.

I love birds and other aerial creatures, so Flying type is historically my favorite type. Would be upset about Rowlet losing it if he weren't more interesting and potentially useful as a Ghost. It's still on track to be my favorite starter. Also this guy gets it.

Gen VI was when Flying showed it was more than just a meh subtype. Talonflame, M-Pinsir, M-Salamence, M-Rayquaza...Birdspam was a thing and we saw the birth of Fug. We Flyingfags had a great time.

That's my third favorite type. Actually the first one if you just count the theme, but Water and Fighting have more cool designs.

This gen sucks so much in this term, there's not a single good bird. I guess I'll just catch Braviary or something.

It's actually pretty great competitively, one of the only types that has super strong moves that can be physical in brave bird or special in hurricane. Flying hits hard and hits a lot of types for neutral damage. Pair that with boosting their attack like with talonflame or mega pinsir in sword dance or life orb hurricane or tornadous and you can spam flying type moves to sweep teams.

Flying's been my favorite type since Blue. I was a little bothered at first that Decidueye suddenly changed to Grass/Ghost but gen 6 gave Flying types a fucking gigantic boost so I'm okay with it getting put aside for now so other types can get bumped up.
