The Ghost typing should have been incorporated into its design. Point blank period. They could have made the tips of its wings and its feet fade a bit to imply an ethereal nature, or make its wings a misty cloak or something. Hey, I've been complaining that it's not Grass-like enough for months.
Except for being green and having a leaf bowtie in the earlier stages, there was nothing particularly Grass-like about Rowlet and Dartrix. They don't even throw leaves, they throw feathers. Decidueye is the only one to really embrace the Grass typing with its leaf hood and vine-bow.

The Ghost thing makes no sense though. Starters in particular are usually better at illustrating their types to kids.
