Found it in Emerald as a kid. Lost it when I botched the cloning glitch, along with my entire team.

Recently found one again in one of my AS runs, sadly it got a crit to the face. I have also encountered shiny Geodude multiple times, but I just ignore them.

Was playing Sapphire and sometime after Norman's gym I was going through Route 116, and he popped out. I caught it and immediately replaced the Swellow I already had.
The name comes from it being a shiny Taillow.

First seen? Quagsire in DP. It was in the Great Marsh, and it ran.

First caught? Grimer in BW2.

Accidentally killed it.

Shiney zubat i found in leaf green. I used it on my team but can't rememeber if i ever finished that play through. I just remember it trying to evolve but it couldn't because i didn't have the national dex yet. That was probably the most annoying thing game freak ever did was not let you get johto evolutions until post game in the gen 1 remakes.

My first shiny was Bibarel in Diamond.

First seen: playing Gold, one of those Explodes in Team Rocket's hideout in Mahogany. If I remember well you couldn't catch them

First caught: an Oddish in Emerald. Evolved it into a Bellosssom and was beautiful, unfortunately the transmission to Heart Gold failed for whatever reason and lost a bunch of pokés including her :(

Replaying Emerald 5 or so years ago, had only seen a shiny Magmar in Crystal before (it escaped).

Had been playing all the games religiously since RBY came out, so it was overdue.

I average 300 hours in these games. Today was my first shiny in 5 years.

I was grinding up to take on the elite four in Emerald and suddenly a red Makuhita pops up. 20 years and thats the only shiny I ever snagged unless I murdered one while mindlessly grinding

I found a Taillow and a Geodude in Emerald on the same day, but deleted that file like a day later because I didn't care about rarity and wanted to start with a different starter or something
