I'm sorry but I don't see it. I know Totems fucking lag the game to hell and back but I just chalk that up to how much stress the aura effect + the 3 models are on it rather than the 3 models alone.

Maybe there was a slighter one but it wasn't nearly as noticeable as the Totem framedrop when I watched the double footage.

Honestly it's not like it's an action game where framerate drops will fuck you up, the only issue I have with it is GF could have just saved the future-proofed models elsewhere, and lowered the poly count for the models that went into the game.
I can't say I've done any 3D modeling though, so I don't know if it's possible to just have a slider for the number of polygons or some shit or if you'd have to recreate the model.

Yep, is literally a button press instead of a slider though. Pretty much every modeling program has a "simplify" command that combines excessive/redundant polys. Basically a big flat square section of a mon would be just 2 triangles instead of the million triangles it has now.
