I don't want to defend XY, it's probably the most flawed gen, but who the hell cares about THIS?

The thing that really makes me chuckle about this is how it shows what a failure the dev team was. Route 1 is leftover evidence that they'd always intended the game to be fully utilize the 3DS's 3D, what with the way it swings down and lets you look straight ahead unlike anywhere else in the game. This was when they planned to really wow everyone with what they could do.

Of course later on they realized they weren't even competent enough to get 2D running at an acceptable framerate. So the 3D world map was scrapped entirely and it was limited to battles, which still had unacceptable framerates but at least you weren't actively controlling it while it was chugging.

What's it like living with this much autism?
