pickpocket's more as a gimmick, because 1) they have to toss a contact move at you and 2) you have to use up your focus sash ( has to OHKO you ), or not have an item at all to trigger it. If the hit falls short of a OHKO, you don't do it, and if you didn't have a focus sash and you die from the attack, you don't proc it ether.
It's more plays on the entire 'revenge' style of Weavile though then anything else. Hell, it even gets Beat Up, and that's a shitty revenge move.

Sadly, Weavile is a one-trick dog (weasel?)
It really needs Icicle Crash or Ice Punch, Knock Off and either Ice Shard or Low Kick.
You can try to squeeze Swords Dance in there, but Weav is too frail to really benefit from it; it's usually better to just attack twice than to try to set up SD.
