I have one shitty Lapras I caught in the wild, two low Snorlaxes, a Seed Bomb treeman with no candies, ~1k CP Dragonites, and one Bulldoze Arcanine. I'd rather pump up Flareons than those guys.

I wouldn't actually bother but I really need 2k+ CP space fillers to put into the local lv 10 Instinct gyms because the 1.5k-1.8k CP dudes aren't good enough anymore. Still need to get into like 3-4 more gyms. I make like 10k-30k Star Dust a day anyway, and I need about 100k to go from lv 1 to lv 30, I don't really mind.

Someone explain the IV meme to me. So CP means combat power and it's an aggeragate of all combat stats which is supposed to mean it has X HP, SPD, ATK, DEF, etc right? So while a 100% IV Pokemon might reach a CP value faster, it doesn't matter once they're both equal right? Example:

I have a 1800 Golduck with 20% IV that's lvl 30
I have a 1800 Golduck with 100% IV that's 26

I made those numbers up but since CP is just an equation that takes all stats into account, doesn't that mean that they will perform equally or are IVs hidden stats added on top of the CP calculations?

If you don't care about having Pokemon with superior stats by constantly pumping them up, then you can just match CP with inferior Pokemon by powering them up more than the superior ones. But then you'd be spending more Star Dust on inferior Pokemon.

Overall, better IVs only really accounts for like ~10% extra CP so if you don't give a shit, don't worry about IVs. If you're an autist and/or have nothing better to do while you keep playing this shit game until lv 40, then might as well go all out on IVs.

Your lv 30 shitmon Golduck will have a higher level based CP multiplier boosting the CP a little bit more than the 100% IV Golduck because the shitmon is a higher level so the stats would be slightly lower in a same-CP scenario.

But CP multipliers are also miniscule in difference between levels so it probably doesn't matter.

Where I live Arcanine is the most popular mon, when I have my vape already in a gym Golem and Rhydon are safe bets against it.

My last pokemon game before go was blue version in 4th grade. When they introduced new pokemon it got too weird for me. If they introduce gen II or whatever into this game I'm done. They only reason I'm playing is because this is restricted to gen I, and I still remember all of these pokemon from my childhood.

I chose the two with power whip by accident. Both around 970 cp. Almost beat 2400 vaporeon with one, second tangela finished the job in one blow

So yes, they are.

If defending vaporeon has aqua tail, go for the whippers cause its duration is shorter and u can be ready to dodge.

With vape and HP, assuming youre either dodging waiting for HP, dodge it then use solar beam OR use solar beam asap then dodge HP, then solar beam is better.

Also, you have to decide if using solar beam once (possibly twice if u dodge pump twice as well as gun, and ur tangelas cp is close to 50% of vape's) is indeed any better than using power whip 2-3 times (120 vs 2x70=140 --- or - chancing dying and excellent dodging vs good dodging, 2x120=240 vs 3x70=210)

However if your goal is to 3k prestige asap and it's RK9, RK9, Vaporeon. [4 watermons and] two solar beamer tangelas is faster, as you can spam spam spam solar beam (vape at 40%) die, second tangela finish off easy.

Ended up catching a pretty nice Dragonair whilst I was out today.

It's Lvl 24 14/15/5 75% Perfect.
The Dragonair I set as my buddy is CP 966/Lvl 20 14/11/11 80% Perfect.

I think I'll evolve the one I caught today when the time comes, it'll save me having to power it up eight more times.
